Esaoté Aquila Settings
![]() These are fairly simple however it is far too easy for them to change for a variety of reasons. This is a list of the settings that should be checked every time before you begin scanning. You should also monitor these during the scan session. Any images collected with incorrect settings can and likely will be rejected. Please be aware if your images look different, as a setting may have inadvertently been changed.
These settings should be already set and should not change, however if you wish to check them you access the probe settings by pushing the Select button. Using the roller ball scroll down to Probes and hit select. Then select settings and hit select. A large menu of settings should appear. Check marks should appear in front of Dnf, Automatic focus, and Total Image Focus. Reverse and upside down should be unchecked. The Escape key always takes you back a step.
The other items are menus:
Dynamic range should be 56 (max) (the roller ball changes this)
Mmode speed cannot be changed
Gray map should be: Gray map 2
2D output power should be 9 (max) (the roller ball changes this)
Image size should be 100 (max)
TGC near should be left alone as it is factory calibrated (it should be a little lower than 14.5)
TGC far should be left alone as it is factory calibrated (it should be slightly higher than 14.5)
There are three BNC video connectors on the back of your Aquila. Either of the top 2 are outputs. We suggest using the top one to connect to your CUP Box. You will not capture any images if this is done incorrectly.
Never attach or remove your probe from the console with the power plugged on or the console plugged into your power source. It is also recommended that you never power up your machine without a probe attached. Failure to follow these precautions can result in damage to your machine.
